About Us

A community rooted in faith, defined by service.

Islam in Bay Area is the public name of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community East Bay — a chapter of a worldwide movement spanning 200+ countries.

Who we are

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast-growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, it spans more than 200 countries with membership in the tens of millions. Its single goal is the rejuvenation of Islamic moral and spiritual values — emphasizing peace, love, justice, and sanctity of life.

Our local jamaat gathers at our mosque in Bay Point for daily prayers, weekly Jumu'ah, classes, and community service. We follow the guidance of the Khalifatul Masih, the spiritual head of the community.

Our motto

"Love for All, Hatred for None."

This is not a slogan but the way we try to live. Our doors are open to people of every faith, every background, every walk of life — without exception.

What we believe

We believe in one God, in the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the final law-bearing prophet, and in the Holy Quran as the perfect, preserved word of God. We also believe that the Promised Messiah and Mahdi foretold in scripture has come in the person of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, and that the institution of Khilafat continues today under his successors.
